The UN Jordan Common Country Analysis is an integrated, cross-pillar analysis by the United Nations in Jordan of the country’s progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in consultation with national and international partners. It is an independent, impartial and collective assessment of the opportunities, risks and challenges facing Jordan in achieving the ambitious and transformational change called for by the 2030 Agenda. Agulhas supported the UN Country Team in this assessment, using a political economy lens to analyse the political, governance and economic context of Jordan, and to assess Jordan’s progress against each of the SDGs. Agulhas also conducted a cross-cutting ‘leaving no one behind’ (LNOB) analysis of the causes of marginalisation in Jordan and the groups most at risk of being left behind.
