Ireland Aid study supporting lesson-learning from evaluation at country level

The key findings were that, in comparison with some of its peer organisations, Ireland Aid had a culture that supported lesson learning and evaluation.

It had a significant potential knowledge base, primarily as a result of its policy of employing local staff.

The study also found that Ireland Aid also plays a unique role with peer organisations.  A relatively small contributor to bilateral and multilateral funding, IA is able to act as “a consensus builder” with partner governments, agencies and external funding partners.
