Analyst

As an Analyst at Agulhas, Olivia assists with research and analysis across the CRUNCH and Climate Hubs. Olivia’s role also includes providing support across reviews produced for the Independent Commission for Aid Impact as an ICAI Analyst. Olivia is currently an analyst for ICAI’s rapid review on UK aid’s alignment with the Paris Agreement, as well as the GIZ Addis Tax Initiative Monitoring Report.

Prior to her role at Agulhas, Olivia was studying at the London School of Economics where she earned a Masters degree in Development Studies with a concentration in Applied Development Economics. Her MSc dissertation sought to quantitatively assess the impact of the arrival of fast internet on human trafficking rates in Sub-Saharan Africa. Olivia holds a Bachelor of Science in International Affairs and Political Science, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Economics and French from Florida State University.


Key work skills

Olivia has experience working with a range of development partners, including foundations, nonprofits and think tanks. Her areas of interest include economic development, social development, and human trafficking-related topics. Olivia is skilled in undertaking a range of research tasks, including a variety of quantitative and qualitative methodologies.

Other interests

In her spare time, Olivia is the Co-Director of Darasa, a non-profit in Tallahassee, FL which provides educational services and support to refugee students in the local school district.

Olivia enjoys exploring London via cafe-hopping and dialling into the “touristy” side of the city. She plans to take full advantage of living in the UK and is currently planning weekend road-trips throughout England and beyond.
