Harriet Gibson

Fellow

Harriet has a background in human rights and international development in fragile and conflict-affected states (FCAS) and has over 10 years’ experience as a researcher and monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) specialist. She has particular experience and expertise on the Middle East and North Africa.

In addition to MEL and conflict and peace-building related work, Harriet is passionate about climate change and environmental issues. During recent years she has consulted for the Green Climate Fund, focusing on their Readiness Programme. She is also an advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and is a member of the internal DEI Commission of another organisation with which she regularly collaborates.

Harriet has worked for a variety of organisations, from grassroots NGOs to UN Agencies, to global private sector consultancies, and for a range of clients including: UK FCO, DFID, European Union, USAID, The Green Climate Fund, The Aga Khan Foundation and Norwegian Church Aid. She has also worked on three ICAI Reviews including The UK’s approach to funding the UN humanitarian system.

Harriet has collaborated with Agulhas several times and, as well as her research and evaluation experience, brings language skills in Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, and French.
