An update to ICAI’s review assessing Official Development Assistance (ODA) spent on supporting refugees and asylum seekers in the UK, following the passage of the Illegal Migration Act 2023.
Analysis found that the Illegal Migration Act, if implemented in full, could mean that much of the Home Office’s spending on support for asylum seekers in the UK would no longer be eligible to come from the aid budget overseen by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO),
